Exploring the Argentinean Culture Through Commercials 

 Goals of this activity

  • To learn about the Argentinean culture identifying some typical products (sports, food, and music) and practices (patterns of social interaction).
  •  To reflect on Argentinean practices and products that represents some distinctive aspects of the culture (perspectives).
  • To find differences and similarities between the students’ own culture and the target culture.

El Futbol 

 DESCRIPCION: Este un comercial de una popular cerveza de Argentina. El comercial es sobre la selección argentina de futbol antes del campeonato mundial de futbolen el año 2006. La voz del inicio y del final es de Diego Maradona. La música es de “Ataque 77” un grupo de rock argentino y es una fusión de cumbia y rock dos géneros populares en Argentina.

 LA COCINA ARGENTINA

DESRIPCION: Tres aspectos distintivos de la cultura argentina están presentes en este comercial: el tango, el futbol, la comida típica argentina. En este comercial puedes escuchar tango como música de fondo. El nombre del restaurante es “El 10” que hace referencia al legendario futbolista argentino Diego Maradona. Durante el comercial muestran las comidas más características de Argentina. La carne cocinada a la “brasa” charcoal, la comida italiana como pizza y milanesa a la napolitana y finalmente el dulce de leche.
